But everything A few years ago, while I was researching The Silent Governess, I came across information about private tutors. I did not realize (like a fool) that it was a regency romance. Then came The Girl in the Gatehouse (2011), another Christy Award winner! The Silent Governess is set in the Regency era; the period in British history when Mr. Her books, The Girl in the Gatehouse (2011) and The Silent Governess (2010), have each won the Christy Award for Historical Romance. I'm still enjoying it, even though this is not my favorite kind of book. You knew I had to bring him up, didn't you? My third book, The Silent Governess, was more directly influenced by Jane Eyre than this one. I'm currently reading this book.
